I have chosen the “business opportunity” model rather than franchising, which means that you will be the owner of your own independent business, instead of an employee or franchisee. As a Certified Financial Stress Reduction Coach, I will give you the tools to teach the workshop and license you to use my name, my brand, my books, the course workbooks, trainers manual, specialty products, etc. You can be a full-time trainer, or add the Financial Stress Reduction® Workshop as one program you offer in addition to your other work.
My vision is to have Certified Financial Stress Reduction Coaches in cities all over the world. INVESTMENT
I have done a lot of research on pricing. Franchises are enormously expensive – a Coffee Bean franchise investment runs from between $250,000 to $450,000, plus ongoing license and royalty fees. The franchise fee for consulting or service businesses is less but still significant, for example, the Sandler Sales Institute’s fee is $63,000. Fees for business opportunities range between $28,000-50,000 and I have seen them listed as high as $90,000 on Entrepreneur.com and Franchise.com.
I am starting at a much lower price initially in order to build a Team quickly, but the price will go up in the future. The current investment is $12,500 but there is a special Early Bird Discount: The training and licensing fee will be reduced to $10,000 if you enroll in the next training session by 7/15/08. It is important to note that you only have to enroll five participants (four if you take advantage of the Early Bird Discount) at $2,500 each in your very first workshop in order to completely recoup your entire investment!
For ongoing advertising, promotion, coaching, and referrals through my speaking, internet marketing, and web site, rather than a percentage of your income, there is only a flat fee of $300 per month. As a member of the Certified Financial Stress Reduction Coaches, you will have a priority listing on my web site under a special section "Find a Certified Financial Stress Reduction Coach in Your Area" and have access to me for business coaching and questions. I will refer all my internet, corporate, and personal leads to Certified Financial Stress Reduction Coaches in good standing. You have my assurance that I will continue to be working on your behalf to make sure that you are successful in this profession!
My plan is to write more books, continue to build my busy speaking schedule, and obtain more national and international recognition. I am currently quoted in more than 30 books (34 are listed on amazon if you search my name) and Marci Shimoff, NYT bestselling author of 5 Chicken Soup for the Soul books, chose me as one of her “Happy 100” in her new book Happy for No Reason released by Simon & Schuster in January, 2008.
