Testimonials

"When I first took Chellie’s class I was worried that I could not pay my rent. After Chellie’s class, using her principles and my new career direction I doubled my income in the first 6 months and within two years was a million dollar producer in my industry. The following year I bought my first home that is now worth over 1 million. That’s a long way from the apartment that I didn’t have the rent for. Warning: Only take Chellie's class if you want to be financially successful."

A Little About Chellie

Dear Dolphins,

Work is wonderful – fun, uplifting, and profitable. Hobbies are fun, too—and can also be uplifting and profitable! To live a balanced, Zillionaire life, it’s great to work hard and PLAY hard, too.

So, after speaking at the Visionary Business Conference one Saturday morning, I drove to the Commerce Casino to play in the Los Angeles Poker Classic Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Tournament. The buy-in was $1,060 and there were 110 entrants with many of the famous professional women in poker (Kathy Liebert, Karina Jett, Cyndy Violette, Barbara Enright, and Mary Jones who won the Ladies event at the World Series of Poker last year).

A key hand for me was when a player went "all in" before me and I looked down at my cards and saw "Pocket Rockets" - two beautiful Aces. I moved all my chips into the pot, too. Behind me was professional Karina Jett, and she looked at her cards and went all in, too! Well, the first gal had pocket queens and Karina had two kings, so I was way ahead in a classic contest of the top three hands you can have in Texas Hold'em before the 5 community cards are dealt in the center of the board. None of those cards improved Karina or the other gal's hands, so I won all their chips and was in good position for the remainder of the tournament. I was very excited to still be in the game when we finished Saturday in the wee hours of the morning (3:30 am--yikes!). The final 22 players returned on Sunday at 7:00 pm. I was pretty tired, but at 2:30 am I took 3rd place and won $10,000! Whoo hoo!

The best part is everyone at the final table got a black leather jacket that says "LA Poker Classic - Final Table" on it - it's like wearing a trophy around to impress all your friends. Hee. Now I want another one…

The video clip of my appearance on the KTLA Morning News is now up on my web site. Just go to www.chellie.com/press.html and you can watch my 5-minute spot on becoming a Zillionaire in 2007. Our online membership club, The Dolphin Club, now has 145 members from 23 states and 4 countries…Click on the Dolphins at right to find out more and start swimming with us now for fun and profit.

Wishing you all smooth seas, sunny skies, and treasure ships at your docks!

ARTICLE: The Secret” is just part of the secret…

I've been excited about all the responses to the movie, "The Secret" from around the world, and Oprah just did a whole show around it. Since I have been using this "Secret" myself for many years, teach it in my Financial Stress Reduction Workshops and write about it in my books, I must chime in.

I agree with the basic message of "The Secret": What we think about is what we create. I used to think like a victim, like I wasn't good enough or talented enough to have the things I wanted. From that core belief I made choices that were disempowering and reinforced my fear that I wasn't "good enough". So I was a battered wife, was robbed at gunpoint, filed bankruptcy, lost my home to foreclosure, etc. When I finally learned (through therapy, books, tapes, and classes) that my thinking was what needed to shift, I started a daily practice of repeating "affirmations" or positive statements about myself and my abilities to counter all the negative thoughts that had become a habit. From these new thoughts I took different actions and made different choices. Life improved dramatically and I make a six-figure income, live in Brentwood, drive a Lexus, have fabulous relationships with friends and family, etc. etc. I love my life! And the change to the rich reality instead of the broke reality began with my decision to change my thinking.

But it's not like we're repeating magic words. I also have a healthy skeptical side, and I've seen too many people want to sit in their room and chant "Omm, I'm making lots of money, omm..." and expect that money will just show up. That isn't going to work anytime soon. Chanting is a start, but only a start. Money is made when you have a product or service that helps other people - you have to do the work to create it, then perfect it, market it, and sell it. When people buy it, you make money. Thinking positively and visualizing successful outcomes is the starting point of creativity. They give you the courage to do the work and go for it.

I laughed when I heard Cher, in concert at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, tell a story that began, "So I said to myself, `Cher…' When I talk to myself, I call myself `Cher.'" She paused a moment. "Usually, it's followed by `you stupid bitch.'"

Does that sound familiar? We're all talking to ourselves all the time, and most of it isn't pretty. Studies in neuro-linguistic programming have shown that the average human being has around 60,000 thoughts every day. It's estimated that 95% of those thoughts are the same old thoughts we had yesterday. Doesn't that sound about right? Aren't you really familiar with those thoughts you're thinking? You think it's you, but it's not you—it's a pre-recorded program on a loop that plays endlessly in your head.

You wear your thoughts like you wear clothes. Your thinking shows up on your face and in your body language and in your energy. You are projecting joy, success, and prosperity or you are projecting misery, failure, and poverty. And all points in between. People can see it and they can feel it. They respond, consciously and unconsciously, to the thoughts you project.

When you're worried, in a panic, and thinking negatively, everybody knows it. Desperation is not attractive. Some people are more aware than others and consciously add up the clues. Other people just get a funny feeling that…well, you're just kind of a drag. And then the people who are kind of a drag, too, are the ones who are most attracted to you. Then you all get together and talk about what a drag life is…You see how it works?

There are parameters already set up in this life. People do have limitations with which they came into this world. You do have to acknowledge what your gifts are and not what you wish they were. If you want to sing professionally, you should be able to carry a tune. If you want to be an NBA basketball star, it would be a good thing if you were tall and nimble with a ball. If you want to be a supermodel, it's helpful if you're thin and beautiful. You can't "positive think" your way into a talent you don't possess, you can't make yourself younger or taller.

I'm delighted "The Secret" has become so well-known and popular because I know it is one piece of the success puzzle that people need. People who don't know how this works need the information, and the people who already know it need the reminder to put it in practice every day. My qualifier is that it is only one piece. Just thinking about your goals isn't enough, you have to take action to achieve them.

One of my favorite quotes is: "There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality, and then there are those who turn one into the other."—Douglas Everett. Here's to all of you Dolphins getting the reality of your dreams!
