In the middle of the seminar, How to Build Your Speaking and Writing Empire, Mark Victor Hansen suddenly turned around on stage, looked out at the audience, and said emotionally, “There are people praying for you to publish your book!”
A chill ran down my spine—it was a goose-bump moment. I thought of all three hundred plus of us writers in the room who had messages of hope and love and learning to share. Yes, for each of us, there is an audience, a group of people who need our message in order to live better, healthier, happier, or more fulfilled lives. People who would laugh or cry over our writings. People we could help. People who would, in turn, help us by reading and sharing our thoughts and dreams.
There are people praying for you, too.
There are people praying for you to open your restaurant.
There are people praying for you to produce your record.
There are people praying for you to paint your masterpiece.
There are people praying for you to give them a massage.
There are people praying for you to negotiate their contract.
There are people praying for you to teach them what they need to know.

There are people praying for you to improve their health.
There are people praying for you to help them save their marriage.
There are people praying for you to help them be more beautiful.
There are people praying for you to give an exciting performance.

There are people praying for you to plan their vacation.
There are people praying for you to keep them safe.
There are people praying for you to write your computer program.
There are people praying for you to learn interior decorating.
There are people praying for you to get your degree.

A while back, I started my teleclass 8-week series and then took a four-day weekend off to Pechanga Indian casino for some R&R&Poker. Hit two big jackpots on penny slot machines, too – $1250 and $1771! The best part was hitting them on Thursday night so the rest of the weekend I was playing on their money. “I am a winner – I win often and I win big!” That affirmation really works – try it and see!
Suzzy Prudden, my long-time friend and colleague, invited me to be on her radio show at LA Live, so I trooped on down to the studio. Little did I know, it was also being filmed – I just showed up in my poker hoodie because I was going to play in a poker tournament at Hollywood Park that night after the show. She told me she had said it would be U-Streamed, and I shrugged and replied that I didn’t know what that meant. Duh. Chellie no hablo techo…
Anyway, we had a ball, laughing and reminiscing, and there are some good pointers for anyone who wants to reduce their financial stress, too!
P.S. I placed third in the poker tournament after the show for $860!
